About Me

Thank you for visiting my website. If you need help with matters that are troubling you about the world around you, how you see yourself, your work or your relationships with other people, I offer a friendly, relaxed and welcoming working environment at my practices in Whitchurch and Wrexham and Chester.

My varied experience includes counselling in Primary Care with the NHS, where I have worked extensively with a wide range of issues, helping people to resolve emotional and psychological problems quickly and effectively.

I mainly work in the areas of anxiety, depression, stress and loss. I also commonly help people to deal with bullying and post traumatic stress. People often experience relationship issues and I work effectively with people to resolve these, whether as individuals or as couples.

But whatever the issues or problems are that challenge you, they are specific to you and the way I work with clients is to treat those matters with the realisation that their situation is unique to them. You will find yourself being treated confidentially, safely and with the fullest attention. What you share with me will always be treated with the strict confidentiality. I work my clients in a way that involves being as much as possible 'in their shoes', seeing themselves and their world from their own point of view.

How we would work together within sessions depends on what your specific issues are.

We will make an assessment of the situation together.

Everything about what we will be doing together will be explained.

How many sessions will be needed?

This depends on your situation and how much time is required before we reach a point where you, the client, are satisfied with what we have achieved. We would review your progress together periodically, the first time being part of the fourth session, if that has been reached. My clients are not asked to commit to a set number of sessions.
